Oh Sarah Palin....

A boy has to sit hear and ask, what the fuck was Sarah Palin saying today? Is that woman crazy. Did she drink three bottles of wine and swallow some pills before that meeting on her front lawn today. I mean for real? I'm going to need a Sarah Palin advocate and supporter to rationalize this one for me. The woman called a meeting to announce her decision to step down as the governor of Alaska. And outside of that statement, everything else that came out of the woman's mouth was pure, and i mean utterly pure, nonsense. I mean it's difficult for the left to even criticize it because there just really isn't any level of substance to be criticized. And besides that, she just made absolutely zero sense. I think I remember her, at one point, saying that she is stepping down because she doesn't want to aid in the suffering of Alaskan citizens. Is it just me or does that sound an awful lot like saying that you suck as a governor and that you don't want to be around any more to produce and executive a terrible state agenda.

but thats just jibber jabber. To be honest, this is all a ploy. It's one of many of Sarah Palin's games to get media attention and to work her way to the top of the party. I mean it is the Republicans, how hard could it possibly be to make it to the top of the party. You just need to be rich, white, male, heterosexual, or Sarah Palin. Having a substantative understanding of political issues and world events isn't really a requirement. You just have to be able to replay popular one-liners like "socialism" "big government" and "family-values", all just pretty words to cover up the lack of action on behalf of the Republican party to live up to any of those values. Sarah Palin is just the face of what many Republicans are in this country. Distanced from what real people actually go through on a daily basis.

But lets be real here for a second. Sarah Palin wants to be a presidential candidate. The media is buzzing over the idea, the right wing nuts are certainly getting off over it, and the left are definitely preparing for it. So lets not pretend for a second that the question isn't a valid one, and that we all shouldn't be getting prepared. To be frank, Sarah Palin running this country from the executive branch is an utter nightmare. I would probably rather wake up one day and realize my DVR forgot to record desperate housewives then have that happen, and that says something. Just to get this striat, SARAH PALIN CHARGES WOMEN FOR RAPE KITS! And yes, as my good friend Billy pointed out, she isn't the only one. But are we really surprised? We live in a culture where men are LITERALLY taught on a daily basis that women are property. That they are available for consumption, and that it is their GOD GIVEN right to have sex with any woman they want. And if you want to deny this reality, then you are either in complete denial or you are sadly unconscious of your own privilege. Sarah Palin both supports and stands in complacency to this culture. And thats just the beginning of a laundry list of policies and social beliefs that Sarah Palin supports. She believes in abstinence education which translates to working tirelessly to obliterate woman's rights to health care. Oh, was I getting bitchy? Because I don't give a fuck.

She wants women who are raped to carry a child to term. Thats disgusting. Like really. It goes to show her level of understanding of women's position in society. And someone that doesn't understand the way power operates to disenfranchise women, is not an advocate of women's rights. I hate to tell it to all you Republicans out there who support Sarah Palin on behalf of women: you can't just add women to the pot and stir. Its about advancing politicians, both men and women, that have your humanity and existence on this planet in mind. And republicans don't. Just look at the Bush administration for example. You Republicans want to know where he was spending your precious taxpayer dollars? On programs that funded nearly billions of dollars to Pregnancy Crisis Centers. Which are basically extremist anti-choice supporters intimidating, coercing, and abusing women. You wanna bitch about bailouts? Lets talk about the government using your money to control women's sexuality. Thats fucked up. The Bush administration also spent millions of taxpayer dollars donating to "Marriage-promotion" programs that teach women to marry their way out of poverty. I mean these people are fundamental believers in women's inferiority, and they should be called out for it.

For a little humor, here is what Angry Black Bitch had to say: "A bitch shall leave it to the wild beast that is the media to unearth what, if any, “exotic” drama is behind this hastily announced and strategically bizarre move. I think that the fact that both Mary Matalin and Pat Buchanan think this stepping down before the end of her first term strangeness was wise speaks volumes to just how fucked up from the floor up this shit really is. What the fuck?!? I’m as far from a Palin supporter as you can get and even this bitch was hoping that she’d pull her shit together mid speech and begin to make complete sentences that have something to do with why the hell she called everyone to her front lawn to chat! Jesus to Gawd, woman…that basketball analogy was crazy. CRAZY! Hell, the whole speech was the very definition of crazy talk. Did she talk an antihistamine on an empty stomach after drinking two bottles of horse turd whisky? Or did she lose her mind and decide to kick the script to the curb and speak from her heart? Whatever the cause, that televised announcement was a steaming hot mess on ice complete with random nature calls because even the wildlife was unimpressed with that shit. Daaaaaaamn."

I'm stuck between emotions of laughter and fear.
